Keralase™

Keralase™ is an innovative approach to combating hair loss. It uses laser technology (LaseMD Ultra) and a serum (Kerafactor™) to stimulate hair growth with growth factors, peptides, and molecules.

What is Kerafactor™ Serum?

The Kerafactor™ serum is a game-changer in the world of hair regrowth. It’s unique formulation harnesses the power of six growth factors that our bodies naturally produce. These growth factors play a crucial role in stimulating hair follicles and promoting healthy hair growth.

The serum has proteins and molecules that work together to help hair regrow better. These ingredients work together to nourish the scalp and provide the optimal environment for hair to thrive.

One of the key features of the Kerafactor™ serum is its nanoliposome technology. Tiny liposomes encase each molecule. This allows them to deeply penetrate the skin. They also target the hair follicles, where they are most needed. This targeted delivery system maximizes the effectiveness of the serum and ensures that every drop counts.

How Does Kerafactor™ Treatment Work?

Keralase™ Treatment is a quick procedure, taking only about 20 minutes to complete. It consists of two steps.

  1. First, the superficial laser creates small channels in the scalp, which greatly enhances the absorption of the subsequent serum treatment. These microchannels allow for up to five to seven times greater absorption.
  2. Afterward, we apply a solution containing a blend of growth factors and peptides to the scalp to promote hair growth.

What are the benefits of Keralase™ treatment?

Stimulates Hair Regrowth and Repair

Studies show that Keralase™ treatment can make hair thicker and denser, even without using Kerafactor™ serum. This demonstrates how the treatment triggers regrowth and repair similar to microneedling.

Enhanced Results with Kerafactor™ Serum

With Kerafactor™ serum utilized, patients see better results in hair growth and overall hair health. The serum’s special formula uses natural ingredients proven to promote hair regrowth.

No Blood Draw Required

Unlike PRP treatment, Keralase™ treatment does not require a blood draw. PRP treatment depends on differences in blood serum, which can cause varying outcomes.

Standardized Formulation for Consistent Results

Growth factors in blood differ between people, making PRP results unpredictable. Keralase™ provides a carefully standardized treatment for more reliable outcomes.

Reduced Discomfort During Treatment

Another advantage of Keralase™ treatment is reduced discomfort compared to PRP. Patients often report less pain and soreness after the procedure.

Safe with Minimal Side Effects

Keralase™ treatment is generally safe, and side effects are rare. Possible complications include minimal burning, redness, or temporary discomfort after treatment.

Promotes Better Scalp Health

The KeraFactor™ serum has no scent, does not dry hard, and has a neutral pH—allowing the scalp to remain balanced and healthy during the regrowth process.

Safe with Minimal Side Effects

Keralase™ treatment is generally safe, and side effects are rare. Possible complications include minimal burning, redness, or temporary discomfort after treatment.

Frequently Asked Questions

Unlike PRP treatment, Keralase™ treatment does not require a blood draw. PRP treatment depends on the differences in blood serum, which can cause varying outcomes. Growth factors in blood differ between people, making it hard to predict treatment results. Keralase™ provides patients with peace of mind by formulating a carefully standardized treatment for the best results.
Another advantage of Keralase™ treatment is the reduced discomfort compared to PRP treatment. While both procedures involve injections, patients often report less pain and discomfort with Keralase™.

It is important to note that the effectiveness of each treatment can vary depending on the individual. There is currently no scientific research directly comparing the outcomes of these two methods for hair restoration. However, many patients have reported positive experiences with Keralase™ treatment. They have noticed significant improvements in hair growth, thickness, and overall hair quality.
The carefully standardized formulation of Keralase™ ensures that patients receive a consistent and reliable treatment, minimizing the risk of inconsistent results. This is particularly beneficial for individuals who have tried PRP treatment in the past and were dissatisfied with the unpredictable outcomes.
Moreover, the reduced discomfort associated with Keralase™ treatment is a major advantage for patients. Both procedures may cause discomfort due to the injections, but Keralase™ has a specific design to minimize pain and discomfort. Patients often describe the injections as tolerable and experience minimal soreness afterward. This makes the treatment easier and more attractive for people who feared pain and didn’t want PRP treatment.

Yes, Keralase™ treatment is generally safe, and side effects are very rare. Possible complications include minimal burning, redness, and discomfort after the procedure. Some people may have allergic reactions to parts of the serum, especially if they are allergic to salmon and curcumin.

During the treatment, you may experience mild discomfort, but it is generally well-tolerated. After the procedure, there may be minimal redness on the scalp, which subsides over time.

We do not recommend Keralase™ Treatment for patients with pacemakers. Experts have not examined the safety of this treatment for patients under 18 years old, so we recommend exercising caution.
Pregnant women and patients with a history of skin cancers on the scalp should also avoid it. You should avoid treatment during infections. Let us know if you have any related medical conditions.

Keralase™ Treatment helps with common hair loss types: telogen effluvium and androgenetic alopecia (male and female pattern hair loss). Typically, experts recommend waiting until the active shedding phase in telogen effluvium stops before starting the treatment.
If you’re not sure about your hair loss, it’s best to get a consultation to find out what’s happening. This will help determine the underlying cause of your hair loss and whether Keralase™ treatment is suitable for you.
Researchers have not studied it for other types such as alopecia areata and scarring alopecias. However, we evaluate each case individually, and we may still consider the treatment based on the specific circumstances.

During the Keralase™ Treatment, it is important to have a clean and dry scalp. This ensures that you can apply the treatment effectively and allows for better absorption of the product.
Doctors also advise avoiding excessive sun exposure in the week prior to the procedure. This is because sunburn or sun damage can make the scalp more sensitive and may interfere with the treatment process.

KeraFactor™ serum is patient-friendly, as it has no scent, does not dry hard, and has a neutral pH. Let your hair and scalp air dry after treatment, then you can go back to normal activities, like using hair products.
Leave the KeraFactor™ serum in your hair until the following day, and then you may wash your hair. However, it is advisable to wait 48 hours after the treatment before coloring your hair. Minimal breakage of telogen hair occurs temporarily after the procedure and is normal.

We generally recommend a series of six Keralase™ treatments at one-month intervals initially. Afterward, you can space the treatments with less frequency to maintain the desired effect.
